My favorite moment of the evening was watching David Gergen's shock and dismay on CNN. He said he really couldn't explain it, and wanted to find out what had been happening on the ground up there.
We know what was happening on the ground.
Earlier in the day Bill Owens was quoted as saying he was at peace, and that he believed his people had the stronger team on the ground. I guess he knew, too.
